Coca Cola Barbeque Sauce

1 12 oz Coca Cola
1-1/2 Cup Ketchup
1 Cup Finely Chopped Onion
1/4 Cup Cider Vinegar
1/4 Cup Worchester Sauce
1 Tsp Chili Powder
1 Tsp Salt
Hot Pepper Sauce (Tabasco etc) to taste

Bring ingredients just to boil, then reduce to simmer for 30 to 45 minutes and sauce thickens.

Coca-Cola Salad

1 can Bing Cherries
1 can crushed pineapple (large)
2 large boxes cherry gelatin
12 oz Coca-Cola
1 c. pecans
8 oz. cream cheese

Boil juices from fruits (plus enough water to make 2 cups), add jello and stir until dissolved. Add nuts, cherries (chopped), and drained pineapple. Add Coca-Cola. Chill until partially set, then add cream cheese cut into small cubes. Chill overnight.

Perfect Brisket

Whole beef brisket
Bottle of chili sauce
1 pkg dry onion soup mix
1 can Coca Cola

Combine all ingredients in a large roasting pan. Cover and cook slowly at 325 degrees F until fork tender, about 3 hours.

Chicken Wings in Coke

4 pounds chicken wings
10 ounces Coke
1 cup brown sugar
garlic salt
onion salt
1 tablespoon soy sauce

Place meat in shallow casserole. Sprinkle with garlic and onion salts. Our mixture of Coke, sugar and soy sauce over all. Bake at 325 for 3-4 hours or until liquid has evaporated and become sticky.

Chocolate Coca Cola Cake (goes naturally well with Coca-Cola Icing)

2 sticks butter
½ c. Wesson oil
½ c. miniature marshmallows
1 tsp. soda
2 eggs
2 ½ TBSP. cocoa
1 c. Coca-Cola
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
½ c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine butter, cocoa, oil and cola and bring to a boil. Add other remaining ingredients in order named.; beat well. Pour into a large greased and floured sheet cake pan. Bake in 350° oven for 45 minutes. Spread Coca-Cola icing over warm cake.
*I used 2- 8″ pans instead of the sheet cake pan.

Coca Cola Icing (goes naturally well with Coca Cola Cake)

6 TBSP. Coca-Cola
2 ½ TBSP. cocoa
1 c. chopped pecans
1 stick butter
1 box confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil; add remaining ingredients and beat until smooth. Spread over warm cake.
*For my icing, I used ½ butter and ½ shortening, eliminated the pecans. I creamed the shortening & butter together, added the vanilla, cocoa, and Coke, then added the confectioners sugar. Mix well.
